Scootin’
So I got a scooter the other day. It’s fun, real fun! Oh, and practical, and cost saving, yes, that’s right
Not to mention it’s fun
I realised that in town I didn’t know what the parking rules were for scooters so I popped into the DCC customer service centre to find out.
It turns out that:
Dunedin City Council provides Motorcycle parking spaces at various locations within the city. However Motorcycle parking in other parking spaces is as follows:
- To park on an ordinary Metered space, the parking time must be paid for the same as any other vehicle
- To park on a Pay and Display space, parking time does not have to be paid for (as there is nowhere to display a receipt) however time limits must be observed as per normal
- To park on a Time Restricted space such as a P60, time limits must be observed as per normal
(info correct as at 6th March 2008 - this info will apparently be available on the DCC website in the near future)
And here is a list of motorcycle parks around town where you can park your sweet wee machine all freakin’ day!
