Bug Arrives!
First thing this morning at 12:45, Linda’s waters broke. She called the hospital and they advised that unless she was having contractions she should try to get some sleep. We managed to get a few hours, and then had an appointment with the midwife at 10am today. By that stage, contractions were happening, but only one every 10 minutes, and they weren’t too strong.
We then left the hospital, went to the supermarket and went to pick up the carseat from Plunket, then went back home. I went back to work to wait for Linda to call. She called an hour later, and an hour after that we were heading to the hospital, and then JUST TWELVE MINUTES AFTER THAT, our son was born!
Please put your hands together and welcome Linus Robert Brown Patterson (5lb 12oz) into this world (with all it’s bad bits). Mum & Bubs are fine, Dad is shocked – especially after anticipating a decent length for a labour!
Pictures coming soon…

How geeky can you get?
I guess he is destined to be a hacker.
Congrats to you both.

Welcome to life, Linus! I hope you find it exciting, fun, and not too taxing. Enjoy your youth while it lasts!
