Bones

Bones are weird. I learnt something the other day about bones. Bones need blood otherwise they die. If the blood supply for a bone is cut off, the body will expel the dead bone. *shudder*

How do I know this? Well, when I had my tooth pulled out (2nd molar), part of my jaw shattered. I didn’t know this at the time but a month later I can feel something sharp starting to come through my gum. I went to the dentist and he checked it out and very matter-of-factly said that it was just some jawbone.

*JUST* *SOME* *JAWBONE*

Those are three words that in hindsight are freaky when strung together. Oh, I wouldn’t mind if it was someone else’s jawbone, but it’s mine. I just want to get in there and pop it out … but when I try it the bloody thing hurts like a hammered thumb. Apparently it’s common and it will work it’s way out in time. Sheesh! Bones are weird.
